Topic Overview:

Manitoba Schools - A look at 100 years of building envelope longevity and failures.  A living history of what has worked well and what hasn't for the largest real estate entity in the province.

Speaker Biography:

Kyle Blaquiere is a structural engineer working at the Public Schools Finance Board with a specialized focus on the assessment, prioritization and renewal of deteriorated Roofs, Walls, and Foundation/Structural elements throughout Manitoba.  Kyle is routinely involved in the in-situ investigation of deteriorated building elements and working collaboratively with the design community toward the renewal of building envelope assemblies.  The public schools of Manitoba represent a diverse era of design and construction history province wide whereby almost everything under the sun has at some point been tried.
